Additions/Deletions within the Orders
Please check your order before hitting submit. Due to our current system restrictions, we are not able to modify any orders once they are placed.

Shipping Address
The customer is responsible for providing the full shipment details. Please make sure that your shipping information is correct and complete before submitting your order*
- Carol’s Salt is not responsible for delayed or returned shipments as a result of incorrect or incomplete shipping information, failed delivery attempts, and/or unclaimed packages.
- If you have unintentionally entered in incorrect information, please immediately contact info@carolsalt.com. We cannot guarantee that the information will be able to be updated before your package ships out, although we will do our best to make the changes in the system.
- If your package ships out with an incorrect address on it, and the package is lost, we are not responsible for shipping a new package to you.
- If your package ships out with an incorrect address on it, but the package is eventually returned to our warehouse by the shipping provider, it is your responsibility to pay for the reshipping costs on the package or else we can refund the cost of the products in the order minus a 5% restocking fee. Please note you are also responsible for any return postage fees.
- We do not ship to PO Boxes or APO addresses

Processing Times
- Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days of receipt. Delivery time quotes begin from when the package leaves after processing is completed.
- Processing may take 2-3 business days or more during heavier volume days. During sales and promotional periods, orders may take up to 7 business days to process.
- We will send an email to you as soon as the package ships out.
- Orders placed after 10am PT Monday through Thursday will begin processing the following day.
- We will ship your order via USPS
- Delivery by the shipping carrier may be delayed during holidays
Missing Packages
- Currently, no package is insured above and beyond the automatic insurance offered by certain carriers unless the insured option is chosen when your order is placed. If the delivery carrier doesn't deliver your package or claims to have made the delivery but you have not received it, we will do our best to help you locate the package by opening an investigation with the carrier.
- We are NOT the delivery carrier and are therefore not responsible for undelivered packages. However, we may be able to reship a package based on our investigation with the carrier and whether or not the order was insured.
- It is the customer's responsibility to read the shipping options below before purchase to be informed about the options for insurance, including which carrier services offer automatic insurance and the terms of that insurance
Domestic Orders
- US orders are shipped via USPS.
USPS
- Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days of order receipt.
- Please note: Processing may take 2-3 days or more during heavier volume days. During holiday season, orders may take up to 7 business days to process.
- USPS Priority Mail Service: In general, please allow 2-4 business days for delivery once the order is processed. Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days of order receipt. Please note: Processing may take 2-3 days or more during heavier volume days. During holiday season, orders may take up to 7 business days to process. Delivery confirmation only. Carries $50 of automatic insurance. If you would like additional insurance added to your order, please look for the option.
International Orders
Please review your country's Importation Regulations carefully before placing your order, as we are not responsible for items refused by Customs in accordance with their prohibition policies
- Carol’s Salt will happily accept and ship internationally via USPS Priority Mail International or USPS Priority Mail Express.
- We are not responsible for packages that go missing internationally. We HIGHLY recommend using USPS Express International which does have tracking available for most countries. We will help as much as possible in the event your package goes missing, but ultimately lost packages are the fault of the shipping provider and we cannot assume the responsibility of replacing or refunding missing packages.
- Rates will vary depending on the location, weight of items ordered, and the delivery address
Customs Policies
- International orders/shipments may be subject to Customs fees or taxes charged by the country in which your order is delivered. We have seen these fees range from 0% - 50%.
- Carol’s Salt is not responsible for paying fees charged by Customs or the rate charged by Customs. It is the customer's responsibility to pay the Customs fee.
- If you refuse to accept your package at Customs due to high Customs fees, we are not responsible for refunding that order or reshipping the order via another carrier. The package will be abandoned at Customs. If you want a refund on your order, you are responsible for paying the customs fee to ship the package back to us. As such, once the package is received back to our warehouse, you will be credited for the cost of your order minus the original shipping charge and minus the customs charge (if you haven't paid it yet) to send the package back to us.
- Carol’s Salt is not responsible for reshipping orders that are refused at Customs. If Customs refuses a package, sends it back to us, and we receive it back from Customs, we can issue you a refund for the products in your order only if we receive the package back and if the contents are in salable condition.
- In the event the package is not returned to us by Customs or is lost in transit, we cannot issue you a refund. We are not responsible for paying for the package to be returned to us or for reimbursing the customer for that cost.
- International orders/shipments may be subject to the possible opening of and inspection of goods by Customs officials in the country of delivery. Carol’s Salt is not responsible for orders that are held up in Customs, damaged by Customs, destroyed by Customs, or refused entrance by Customs due to this process. It is the responsibility of the customer to review their own country's importation regulations, as we are not responsible for items refused by Customs in accordance with their prohibition policies.

- Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days of order receipt in our warehouse. Please note: Processing may take 2-3 days or more during heavier volume days. During holidays, orders may take up to 7 business days to process.
- Delivery is an estimated 6-10 business days AFTER processing is completed in our warehouse; delivery may take longer depending on Customs delays or the postal system of an individual country.
- No tracking available. Delivery confirmation only.
- Insurance option available.
- Additional Customs charges may apply.
- Available to most international countries.
USPS Priority Mail, Express International
- Reliable, Expedited Shipping Option

- Delivery is an estimated 2-5 business days AFTER processing is completed in our warehouse; delivery may take longer depending on Customs delays or on the postal system of an individual country
- Additional Customs charges may apply.
- USPS Priority Mail, Express Claims Process: In the event your package does not arrive, there will be a 30-90 business day claim process initiated with USPS. We cannot reship your order to you until the claim is fully processed and accepted by USPS. If the claim is not paid, we cannot reship the package to you or process a refund.
**Buying Policy**
The products on this site are for individual use ONLY, and cannot be resold or redistributed. Carol’s Salt reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason, without notice.
With respect to items sold on Carolsalt.com, we cannot confirm the price of an item until you order and can only offer products for sale that are in stock.

Easy Returns & Exchanges
- Items returned without prior contact may not be properly identified and this may either prolong or nullify your refund.
- Eligible return items must be received by us within 30 days of purchase.
- Any items shipped to an improper address due to failure to contact us for return information are not our responsibility to refund or reship.
- Returned product(s) will be inspected and evaluated before a refund is issued.
- Please follow exact directions provided by us in order for your refund to be received and processed appropriately and timely.
- A 5% return fee will be deducted from credit card refunds on eligible product returns.

Non-Refundable Items
- Carol’s Salt is not responsible for Lost, Stolen, mis-routed or un-delivered shipments or those seized by Customs.
- If a shipment is returned to us as undeliverable, you may either receive a full refund for the products ordered minus the shipment costs and a 5% return fee, OR we can reship the order after collecting an additional shipping fee.
*This does not apply to Refused Packages. Please see Refused Packages Section below.
- Products that have been opened or have a broken seal cannot be returned.
- Items returned to us after 30 days of the initial purchase date and/or without contacting Carol’s Salt prior to the return, will NOT be refunded.
- Carol’s Salt is not responsible for duplicate orders placed by the customer online. Duplicate orders are subject to all of the guidelines laid out in this Return Policy.
Refused Packages
- Given the choice, rather than refuse the package, please accept it and contact us immediately so we may process the return appropriately.
- If you refuse to accept your package for any reason other than damage to the package, you may receive a refund for the products only, minus any return postage fees and a 5% return fee, if and when we receive the package back.
*Please Note: We have no way of knowing what the cost of return postage fees will be until we are charged by the shipping agent. By refusing your package, you accept the responsibility of paying this return postage.
- If you refuse to accept your package because there is obvious damage to the package or to the items in the package, you will not be charged for the cost of return shipping. If the package is received back to us, we can either refund the cost of the entire order or reship you a new package at no additional cost to you.
- Please contact us immediately if you refuse a package so we know it is on the way back to us.
*PLEASE NOTE: Refused shipments/packages have been known to get lost in transit and may not be received by us. If you refuse your shipment and it does not return us, we are unable to issue a refund.
Defective/Damaged Items
- If you receive a defective product, you may return the product for a full refund or exchange. We must receive the product back in order to send you another or issue a refund.
- All returns MUST be received by us within 30 days of the initial purchase date. We are unable to offer ANY refunds for products returned to us past 30 days. No exceptions.
